It's been a while

It's the end of the year, my finals are finished and new video games are abound. I've allowed myself to be absorbed in the distracting game of Star Wars: The Old Republic. Yes, my nerdyness knows no bounds. I've also been reading fictional books such as Neil Gamons American Gods. It's a good fiction if you're looking for one.
I started this Blog over the summer of 2011 as an outlet to vent my anger, frustration and stress. It seems that by doing this, I have cause others stress, anger and frustration. Not just one person in particular either. I tell stories about many things in my life. I'd like to keep doing this. So, if you're one of those people who were offended, or bothered by one of my stories then please, stop reading this blog. I'm certainly not blogging for anyone other than myself, and hopefully my children when they get older. If you genuinely have a problem with my stories, or you remember them differently, then by all means start your own blog.
I love my stories. They're my stories. This is why I'm a History Major at IU. I love stories, whether they're fiction, fact or somewhere in between. Sometimes finding out if a story is true or not is half the fun. I recently wrote a short research paper that I'm going to clean up and present at a conference at Pennsylvania University (I think it's PU). It's about how women in Mesoamerica (Mexico) were changed socially slower than males. It's a pretty interesting story, but I wont go into it. You can read it, I put it up on my blog (unedited basically so it's a little ruff).
Stories are where we come from; they're a part of us and always will be. In ancient times it's how records were kept. Today we use them to entertain. Never forget your story. It's as important as the story of George Washington's victory over the British, or the signing of the Declaration of Independence. They're all stories and they're all important.

Thanks for reading and keep your stories alive.

  2. I agree with Brandon. The tales of history was only at one time recorded verbally by the bards of old. Your blog reminds me of this. Jen Dusek

  3. Catharsis is not for others. It is for you. Keep on doing what you do brother. I enjoy your stories and you are completely correct about them being YOUR stories. They are what made you who you are and you are pretty great.
